Family...

So, today was Mother's Day.

i tried to call my mom all morning both her home phone and the cell, no answer i left messages.  i left email.  i called my brother, no answer, i left a message, i left a search message on facebook, "has anyone seen my mom?  tell her to call me"  Wouldn't she know her daughter would want to spend time with her today?   My own fault, i should have made previous plans with her...

She called later this afternoon (too late to drive down for a visit), my brother and his wife, grandkids, great grandkids had all taken her out for lunch and had spent the day planting flowers for her, they were there listening while we talked on speaker phone.  Tonight there are all sorts of facebook photos, all the women in the family in one photo, my mom, my sister inlaw, my niece, my great niece.

i don't know why it hurts still.  Silly stuff, just another family holiday get together without inviting me...fuck
